Founded in 2009 by Ms. Xoliswa Ntokazi Nkosi, Ntokazi Catering and Events is a 100% black female-owned enterprise with seventeen years of industry expertise.
What began as a local visionary project has grown into a trusted service provider for KwaZulu-Natal, combining cultural authenticity with professional standards and meticulous attention to detail.
Our team understands that every event carries its own meaning. Whether we are supporting a high-stakes government forum, a corporate gathering, an intimate memorial service or a vibrant traditional wedding, we approach every brief with care, dignity and precision.

The Ntokazi journey
Before she was plating for government forums and 1,500-guest weddings, Ms. Xoliswa Ntokazi Nkosi was standing in front of a classroom, an educator teaching Hospitality, training young people in the very skills she now practises every day. It's a detail she comes back to often when she's on air: the years spent teaching gave her the structure and standards that now run through everything Ntokazi Catering & Events does, from a boardroom lunch to a family memorial.
In 2009, she took that classroom discipline and turned it into a business, starting small, building relationships one function at a time, and slowly earning the trust of clients who needed more than good food; they needed someone reliable. Seventeen years later, that same passion has grown into a catering and events partner trusted across KwaZulu-Natal, from Transnet's canteens to the KZN Office of the Premier's VIP functions.

On a permanent basis we employ a core team of over 15 staff, scaling up to 50+ casual staff for larger functions, giving flexible, meaningful work to people across the region.

Ongoing training and upskilling ensures our team meets industry standards for hygiene, service and hospitality excellence.
